Give a Day. Get a Disney Day. Plot

Disney Give a Day. Get a Disney Day.: Movie Storybook (May 4, 2010)
1-2
On a chilly winter's night in London, a baby lay peacefully in her crib. As her mobile twirled, the baby let out her very first laugh and–as with all first laughs–a fairy and every people–was born! The laugh floated out the window and attached itself to a dandelion wisp. It flew above the human world straight toward the Second Star to the Right, and through a burst of light into North America!
3-4
The laugh floated toward Pixie Anaheim, a magical place in the heart of California where the citizens lived. "Oh, my! Come on! Let's go! the fairies cried. They followed the laugh as it made its way toward the Pixie Dust Hotel. A dust-keeper named Terence sprinkled some pixie dust on the laugh. It made a tinkling sound and took the shape of a fairy.
Queen Clarion approached. "Born of laughter, clothed in cheer, happiness has brought you here. Welcome to Pixie Anaheim," she said. The newcomer flapped her wings. She could fly!
5-6
Queen Clarion waved her hand and some toadstools sprang up. Fairies began to place objects on them. Rosetta, brought a flower. A water fairy named Silvermist carried a droplet of water. Iridessa, a light fairy, had a glowing flower lamp, while a fast-flying fairy named Vidia set down a whirlwind. "These objects will help you find your talent," the Queen explained. The new fairy timidly placed her hand on the flower. Its glow instantly faded. She reached for the water droplet, but its glow faded, too. Then she touched the whirlwind–and it disappeared.
7-8
The new fairy was discouraged. But as she passed the hammer, it started to glow. Then it flew straight to her! "I've never seen one glow that much," said SilvermistRosetta agreed. "Li'l daisy-top might be a very rare talent indeed!" Vidia fumed. She had one one of the strongest and rarest talents in Pixie Anaheim, and she wasn't looking for competition.
9-10
"Come forward, tinker fairies," called the Queen, "and welcome the newest member of your talent guild–Tinker Bell!" One evening, Tink will play as little Tiana and she was sitting in the Los Angeles mansion with her friend Charlotte LaBouff. Tiana's mother, Eudora, sewed a beautiful dress as she read a story about a frog who needed a kiss to turn him into a human prince. "There is no way in this whole wide wide world I would ever kiss a frog!" Tiana exclaimed. But Charlotte said, "I would kiss a hundred frogs if I could marry a prince and be a princess."
11-12
Back at home, Tiana happily finished cooking dinner with her father, James. They dreamed of opening their own restaurant together someday. "This is the best gumbo I've ever tasted!" he declared, "A gift this special just has to be shared!" Soon the guests gathered around their penthouse to enjoy the good food.
Later, as Tiana nestled into bed, James encouraged his daughter to make a wish on the evening star. "And then, if you work hard enough, you can be anything you want," James said. "Just never lose sight of what's really important, okay?" As soon as her parents left the room, Tiana wished: "Please help us get our restaurant!"
13-14
Years went by, and Tiana grew up to be a beautiful young woman. Her father had passed away, but she still dreamed of opening a restaurant. So Tiana waited table at Red Rockett's Pizza Pot day and night, and saved every spare penny she could. She knew that her hard work would pay off one day.
15-16
Change was definitely in the air! High-flying Walter Jordan, the world's greatest Muppet basketball player had just announced he was leaving basketball...to become a baseball player! "Haydee hi, haydee ho! I'm Clank!" boomed a large tinker fairy. "We're pleased a a pile of perfectly polished pots that you're here," added Bobble, a tinker who wore dewdrop glasses. "You have arrived at a most wondrous and glorious time!" Clank said as they flew above Pixie Anaheim.
"It's almost time for the changing of the seasons!" added Bobble.
17-18
"Welcome to Tinkers' Nook!" Bobble announced after a little while. Tinker Bell saw a small courtyard lined with twig-and-leaf cottages. Fairies were fixing and fashioning all kinds of amazing, useful objects.
Clank and Bobble dropped Tinker Bell off at her own little house. All the clothes in her closet were much too big. Luckily, Tink knew just what to do.
19-20
Tinker Bell put on her new dress, tied her hair up, and reported to the workshop. Soon Fairy Mary–the no-nonsense fairy who ran Tinkers' Nook–arrived. "So dainty!" Fairy Mary exclaimed as she looked at Tink's hands. "Don't worry, dear, we'll build up those tinker muscles in no time." Then, after reminding Clank and Bobble to make their deliveries, Fairy Mary was gone.
21-22
And Walter wasn't the only one looking for a change. Far off in the cosmos, a vicious alien named Swackhammer was looking for ways to spruce up his intergalactic amusement park, Moron Mountain. Maybe Swackhammer should have taken a close look at Walter's new career.
After all, Walter wasn't exactly a shining star on the baseball diamond. Her batting average was low, and his fielding was, well...
23-24
But Swackhammer was determined to make changes at Moron Mountain. He ordered the Nerdlucks, his alien slaves, to go out in search of new entertainers. Funny entertainers. Wacky entertainers. Muppet entertainers. So, the Nerdlucks crashed their spaceship into Muppet Land.
As the aliens climbed from the wreckage, they met a green guy. "We seek the one they call Kermit the Frog," a Nerdluck named Pound explained. "Hmmm...Kermit the Frog? Say, does he have a long tongue, like this?" the green guy asked. "Yeah," Pound nodded. "And does he hop around, like this? Does he say, "It's the Muppet Show" like this: It's the Muppet Show with our very special guest star, Miss Taylor Swift!" Pound smiled. "Yeah," he said. "Nope, never heard of him." the green guy said. "You know, maybe there is no intelligent life out there!"
25-26
Pound was stupid. But he wasn't that stupid. He eventually figured out that the show-introducing stranger was actually Kermit the Frog. "Okay, Froggy, gather up your Muppet pals. We're taking you for a ride," Pound said, pointing his laser gun at KermitKermit gulped. This was an emergency.
Kermit immediately put out the word. It was time for an emergency Muppets meeting! The Muppets were in the middle of an exciting show when they got the call. Still they had no choice. They stopped right in the middle of the show and raced over to the theatre.
27-28
"So what's the big emergency?" The Great Gonzo, the stunt performer asked once all the Muppets had arrived. "All of you are now our prisoners. We are taking you to a theme park in outer space!" Pound declared. Sgt. Floyd Pepper, the bass player of the Electric Mayhem jumped up and pulled out his guitar. "You ain't going nowheres!" Pound took out his laser gun. With a flick of the trigger, Floyd's guitar disintegrated into dust. With a second flick of the trigger, Pound turned Floyd down to the size of...Rizzo! "Let's get them aboard the ship," Pound ordered.
Kermit jumped up. "Not so fast. You can't just turn us into slaves," he explained. "That would be bad. You must give us a chance to defend ourselves." "Oh yeah? Who says?" Pound snorted. Kermit pulled out a thin book called Rules for Drawing Muppets and pointed to a page. "Read it and weep, boys." Kermit said.
29-30
The aliens had no choice but to let the Muppets defend themselves. After all, it was in the rule book. But how were the Muppets going to defend themselves? Everyone had a different idea. "How about we challenge them to a debate!" Scooter, the gofer said. "Say, we could have a bowling tournament!" scoffed Dr. Teeth, the leader of the Electric Mayhem.
"Okay, let's analyze the competition," said Kermit. "We got a small race of aliens..." "Tiny little guys..." added Rowlf the Dog. "Small arms...short legs..." Gonzo pointed out. "Can't jump high..." noted ScooterKermit looked directly at Pound. "We challenge you to..."
31-32
"...a basketball game!" "All right," Pound agreed. "Basketball it is." (Even though he didn't really know what basketball was.) When Pound and the other aliens learned how the game was played they knew they would have to study the moves of the pros and work hard in order to win but the aliens were a lazy bunch. They never studied or worked hard at anything. So they decided to steal the pros' moves instead!
33-34
A little while later, TinkClank, and Bobble set out to deliver some springtime items to the nature fairies, with help from Cheese the mouse. Suddenly, the fairies heard a sound behind them. PITTER-PATTER! PITTER-PATTER! "Sprinting Thistles! Aaaaagh!" screamed Clank. The weeds nearby had come to life and were rushing toward them! The wagon flew down the path and crashed in the middle of Springtime Square.
35-36
Thankfully, the tinkers were unhurt. They began to make their deliveries. There were milkweed-pod satchels for an animal fairy named Fawn, pussy willow brushes for Rosetta, and rainbow tubes for IridessaSilvermist was there, too. She sprayed water into the air. When Iridessa flew through the droplets, a perfect rainbow was formed. Iridessa rolled it up into a tube. "I'm going to take it to the mainland," she explained to Tink. "What's the mainland?" the new fairy asked. "It's where we're going for spring, to change the seasons," replied Silvermist.
37-38
Next, the tinkers stopped at the Flower Meadow. Vidia zipped by, using her whirlwind to pull pollen from the flowers. "Hi!" said Tinker Bell. "What's your talent?" "I am a fast-flying fairy," answered Vidia. "I make breezes in summer and blow down leaves in Autumn. Fairies of every talent depend on me." "Tinkers help fairies of every talent, too!" Tink said excitedly. "I make forces of nature. You make pots and kettles," Vidia pointed out. "It's not like spring depends on you." "When I go to the mainland, I'll prove just how important we are!" Tink replied. "I, for me, am looking forward to that," Vidia said, rolling her eyes.
39-40
Tink flew off, grumbling to herself. Soon, however, she was distracted by something shiny down on the beach. She flew closer. It was a coin! Tink began digging. Before long she had found all sorts of treasures. She scooped them up and took them to the workshop.
41-42
"Lost Things," said Clank when Tink arrived. "They wash up on Anaheim from time to time," said Bobble  "Not much good for anything though." Fairy Mary whisked Tink's trinkets away. The Queen's Review of the springtime preparations was that night, and there was still a lot to do. Tink knew this was her chance to prove just how important a tinker's talent really was!
43-44
That evening, the Minister of Spring welcomed Queen Clarion to the review ceremony. "When the Everblossom blooms, we will be ready to bring spring to the mainland," he said proudly. Suddenly, Tinker Bell arrived. "I came up with some fantastic things for tinkers to use when we go to the mainland!" she called.
Before the Queen could say anything, Tink pulled out a homemade paint sprayer. But instead of spraying color, it exploded, making a huge mess! The Queen looked at Tinker Bell kindly. "Tinker fairies don't go to the mainland," she said. "All the springtime work is done by the nature fairies. I'm sorry."
45-46
Tink returned to the workshop. "Being a tinker stinks," she grumbled. "Excuse me?" replied Fairy Mary. "Why don't we get to the mainland?" Tink asked. "The day you can magically make the flowers grow or capture the rays of the sun, you can go. Until then, your work is here," said Fairy Mary impatiently. Suddenly, Tink smiled slyly. She had an idea.
47-48
The aliens came up with a really sneaky plan. They went to the basketball game in New York City dressed as humans. They watched as the players raced across the court–shooting, scoring, and blocking shots. When they spotted a player whose style they liked, the aliens released a purple ooze. Then the ooze became a mist and traveled through the air and onto the court. The purple mist went straight into the brain of the chosen player. Then the ooze made its way back to the aliens, carrying the player's talent with it.
Before long, the Nerdlucks has captured the playing skills of Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, Larry Johnson, Shawn Bradley, and Muggsy Bogues. Were the players sick? Nobody knew what the wrong. Even the doctors at the best hospital in the country couldn't figure it out. There was only one great player left with his skills intact...
49-50
...Walter Jordan. The aliens hadn't stolen Walter's basketball powers. Walter wasn't using his basketball powers. Walter was busy playing baseball...badly. But no matter how badly he was doing, Walter was better off on the diamond than on the court. That's because there weren't going to be any professional basketball games for a while. The basketball commissioner had just called a halt to the season until she could find out what was happening to her star players.
Not far away, a prince from a foreign land arrived in town. Unlike Tiana, Prince Naveen was not interested in working at all. He was visiting because he loved loved jazz music, and Anaheim was filled with jazz, jazz, jazz! Naveen quickly joined in the fun of the big festival called Mardi Gras. His valet, Lawrence, struggled to keep up!
51-52
Everyone in town was buzzing about Naveen's arrival, but Tiana hardly noticed. She was much too busy even to go dancing with her friends. "I'm going to work a double shift," Tiana said. "Girl, all you ever do is work!" exclaimed her friend Georgia.
53-54
Just then, Charlotte and her father, Big Daddy LaBouff, came into Red Rocket's Pizza Pot. Charlotte excitedly told Tiana that Prince Naveen was coming to her father's masquerade ball that very night! "I'm going to need about 500 of your man-catching beignets." After Charlotte paid her, Tiana finally had enough money for a down payment on her restaurant.
That afternoon, an overjoyed Tiana made an offer on the old cottage. It was the location she and her father had chosen for their restaurant long ago. With Eudora by her side, Tiana felt as if her dream was about to come true! Two old brokers, Statler & Waldorf, happily accepted the down payment.
55-56
"Oh, can't you just picture it, Mama?" Tiana said excitedly, imagining the cottage as her restaurant. "It'll be the place Daddy and I always dreamed of." "Tiana," Eudora replied gently. "Your father may not have gotten the place he always wanted, but he had something better. He had love. And that's all I want for you, sweetheart."
57-58
Meanwhile, a sinister man named Dr. Facilier had lured Prince Naveen and Lawrence into his lair. Dr. Facilier read their tarot cards and promised both the men that he could give them exactly what they most desired. Lawrence wanted to be more like Prince Naveen instead of carrying his luggage; Naveen wanted to keep up their carefree, happy lifestyle. As Dr. Facilier held up a magic talisman, Naveen and Lawrence's world began to change…
59-60
That evening, Charlotte was delighted when the prince arrived at the masquerade ball! She didn't know that he was actually Lawrence in disguise! Dr. Facilier had used his evil magic to make the switch. The doctor's wicked plan was for Lawrence to marry Charlotte. Then Dr. Facilier and Lawrence would steal all of Big Daddy's money.
Charlotte happily danced with the impostor, while Tiana served beignets to Statler and Waldorf. "You were outbid," Waldorf said to a stunned Tiana. He told her that if she didn't come up with more money, she would lose the cottage! Tiana was heartbroken. "We had an agreement," she argued, trying to reason with the men. Unfortunately, she tripped, and toppled onto her beignet table. Her dress was ruined!
61-62
Charlotte took Tiana upstairs to her bedroom and gave her a beautiful princess costume to change into. "Aren't you just as pretty as a magnolia in May!" Charlotte exclaimed before rushing off. Alone, Tiana looked up at the Evening Star from the balcony. She really wanted that cottage. So she closed her eyes and made a wish...
When Tiana opened her eyes again, she saw a frog. "A kiss would be nice," the frog said. He was a talking frog! Tiana shrieked and ran back into Charlotte's room fast as she could. "I am Prince Naveen of Maldonia," the frog said. He explained that he needed a kiss to become human again. "Surely I could offer you some type of reward. A wish I could grant?"
63-64
Tiana wanted to help. And getting her restaurant would be a nice reward, so–SMOOCH! Then...POOF! Naveen was still a frog. But Tiana had become a frog, too! "Aaiieeeeee!" she screamed. "What did you do to me?"
65-66
In the guest quarters of the LaBouff estate, Dr. Facilier was furious that Naveen had escaped! You see, the doctor needed the prince to make his magic talisman work–and to keep Lawrence looking like Naveen  "You just win Charlotte's scented hand, and we'll split the big fat fortune," Dr. Facilier angrily told the disguised valet
67-68
Meanwhile, the two new frogs had been chased from the ball into the jungle. That was when Naveen learned that Tiana was not a real princess. "No wonder the kiss didn't work!" he exclaimed. But Naveen couldn't be too angry. He wasn't really rich and couldn't give Tiana the money for her restaurant. His parents had cut off his allowance until he learned to be more responsible. But there was no time to argue–the two frogs had to figure out how to escape the jungle!
69-70
The next morning, Naveen slept while Tiana built a raft. Later, as Tiana struggled to paddle through the bayou, Naveen lazily strummed a makeshift ukulele. It was clear that she was going to have to do all the work.
71-72
But the Muppets weren't members of that league. Their big game was going to be played as scheduled. "Coach, there's an important strategic question I need to ask you," Fozzie Bear said to Kermit during the team's afternoon practice. Kermit looked up to discover Fozzie modeling some wild team uniforms! "What do you think?" Fozzie asked. "I'm kind of partial to purple and gold myself. It goes better with my coloring."
Before Kermit could tell Fozzie exactly what he thought, Scooter came rushing onto the court. "The little aliens say it's their turn to use the court," the gofer said. The Nerdlucks raced onto the court. Gonzo started to laugh. "Too bad you can't practice getting taller, boys," he said. Gonzo should have kept his mouth shut.
73-74
The aliens lined up in formation. Each little guy took out his own bottle of purple ooze. The Muppets watched with disgust as the aliens raised the bottles to their lips and drank the sloppy, smelly goo.
At first, there was a loud BURP. The a purple gas surrounded the aliens. The aliens began to grow, and grow, and grow, until they towered threateningly above the Muppets. "Those little pipsqueaks just turned into superstars..." Gonzo declared. "Suffering succotash! They're MonStars!" cried Rowlf. "I think we might need a little bit of help" Kermit said.
75-76
While the Muppets and MonStars were busy practicing, Tink found her friends at the Pixie Dust Well. "If you could teach me your talents, maybe the Queen would let me go to the mainland," Tink said. No fairy had ever changed his or her talent! Reluctantly, Tink's friends agreed to help. Silvermist was first. The water fairy showed Tink how to place a dewdrop on a spiderweb. But each time Tink tried  the dewdrop burst.
Next, Iridessa demonstrated how to give fireflies their glow. She captured light in a light in a bucket and scattered it. Dozens of fireflies flew through it and lit up. But when Tink tried, the light wouldn't stick to her fingers. She threw the bucket in frustration. The light spilled in every direction. Now she was glowing, too! The fireflies swarmed around her–they thought she was the most beautiful thing they had ever seen!
77-78
Fawn had Tink's animal-fairy lesson all planned. "We're teaching baby birds how to fly," she announced. Fawn showed Tink what to do. Unfortunately, Tink's bird was terrified. He didn't want to go anywhere.
79-80
Tink saw a majestic bird flying overhead. Maybe he can help! she thought. She waved her hand and tried to get the bird's attention. The scout fairies looked to see what was going on. "Hawk! Hawk!" they yelled, sounding their warning horns. Tink spotted a tree with a knothole and rushed straight for it. The hole was already occupied–by Vidia. CRACK! The hawk broke through the bark with his beak. The two fairies had to get out of there–fast! They jumped down a hole into a long, dark tunnel.
81-82
When Vidia reached the end of the tunnel, she could see the hawk on a nearby branch. She stopped in the nick of time–but Tink accidentally slammed into her. Vidia went shooting out of the tree. The hawk opened his beak, ready to strike. Fairies pelted him with berries, rocks, and twigs. Luckily, the bird flew away. "Let me help you," Tink said to Vidia. "I'm fine!" snapped Vidia. "I was only trying to help," Tink explained. She felt awful.
83-84
Walter Jordan was enjoying a relaxing game of golf with her pals Orchid and Daisy. The baseball publicist named Tulip Podolak had arranged the game. Tulip worked with Walter on the baseball team. Only Tulip wasn't a player–she was the guy who drove Walter to and from the stadium. She also drove him nuts.
Walter watched as her pal Daisy hit a beautiful drive onto the green. "You clowns can't beat that," Daisy said assuredly. That was all Walter needed to hear. He stepped up to the tee, swung, and unleashed a beautiful drive of his own.
85-86
The ball stopped about 40 feet from the hole. But just as the three players reached the ball, something incredible happened. The ball started rolling again–right in the direction of the hole. It was as though the ball had a mind of its own. "That's impossible!" Daisy said. Impossible or not, the ball plopped right into the hole. "All right!" Walter said, flashing his famous grin.
"Wait," Tulip called over to Walter. "Let me get a picture of this. Reach in like you're going to get the ball. Now smile." Walter reached in for the ball. He couldn't seem to grab it. He reached a little deeper. And a little deeper. Suddenly, Walter was pulled all the way into the hole!
87-88
"Look out for that first step. It's a real lulu!" Walter rubbed her eyes in amazement. Was it possible, could this be... "Kermit the Frog?" Walter asked. Kermit laughed. "You were expecting maybe the frog prince?" he replied. Walter gulped. "But...but...you're just a TV star. You're not real."
It was a challenge Kermit couldn't resist. "Not real? If I wasn't real, could I do this?"
89-90
Walter had to believe Kermit was real. It was too dangerous for him not to. "All right! All right! Enough already, you're real," Walter admitted. "But what...why...where?"
Kermit leaped onto Walter's lap. "Why Walter," he said, "I thought you'd never ask." Kermit told Walter about the aliens who wanted to capture the Muppets and take them to Moron Mountain. Then he explained about the upcoming basketball game. Walter's eyes grew wide as Kermit described the way the tiny aliens had morphed into giant MonStars. "Am I getting through to you?" Kermit asked, finishing his speech. "They're going to make us do stand-up comedy, the same jokes every night for all eternity! I'm talking about being trotted out perform for a bunch of low-brow, bug-eyed, fat-headed, humor-challenged aliens! What I'm trying to say is...WE NEED YOUR HELP!"
91-92
Walter sighed. "But I'm a baseball player now," he explained to Kermit. "Yeah. And I'm a Shakespearean actor," Kermit replied sarcastically. He led Walter into the Muppets' gym. "Look, I want to help," Walter told the Muppets, "but I haven't played basketball in a long time. My timing's all off." Kermit smiled. "We'll fix your timing," he said proudly. "Look at our facilities." Walter glanced around. He was amazed by what he saw. "We got hoops!" Gonzo said.
"We got weights!" Dr. Teeth added as Animal lifted some weights. "We got balls!" Rowlf shouted from beneath the pile.
93-94
CRASH! Before Walter could say anything, five huge, menacing MonStars came smashing through the stadium walls. "Who are these guys?" Walter asked Kermit. "Well, uh...remember the tiny aliens I've told you about?" Kermit replied. Pound wasn't waiting for Kermit to make any introductions. "We're the Mean Team," he sputtered at Walter. "We're the MonStars. Let's see what you got, chump." Pound fired a ball right at Walter's head.
Walter grabbed the ball. "I don't play basketball anymore," he said, firing it back at Pound. "Maybe you're fish," Bang said, challenging Walter. "I say! I resemble that remark!" Lew Zealand, the boomerang fish thrower declared.
95-96
Maybe Walter didn't play basketball anymore. But that didn't mean he couldn't be a basketball! Pound reached out and grabbed Walter. With one tight squeeze, Pound molded Walter into an NBA-size ball. Pound dribbled the Walter-ball a few times, then slam-dunked him into a basket! "You're all washed up, girly!" Bang bragged.
Walter could take having a ball fired at his head. He could take being slam-dunked through a hoop. In fact, Walter could take just about anything…But when the big brutes knocked Pepé the King Prawn around, Walter had had enough. A fierce look of determination came over Walter's face. "Let's play some basketball," he announced to the Muppets.
97-98
This afternoon, Walter called his team together for an extra practice session. "Has anyone here ever played basketball before?" Then, a new player walked into the gym. Her name was Miss PiggyKermit looked at Piggy. His heart skipped–right out of his chest. "Hello...my name is Kermit," he introduced himself. "You want to practice one on one, doll?" Piggy's eyes narrowed angrily. "On the court, Kermit," she ordered. Kermit grabbed a ball, raced onto the court, and took a shot. Piggy jumped up and blocked it. Kermit landed in a heap on the ground. "Girl's got some skills!" Walter said. Piggy looked at Kermit. "Don't ever call me "doll"." "Check!" Kermit said.
99-100
Walter gave his first order. "Somebody is going to have to go to my house and pick up my basketball gear. And whatever you do, don't forget my shorts!" It was a tough job, but somebody had to do it. An alligator rose to the surface! Luckily, he wasn't hungry–he had come up to hear Navee's music. The alligator's name was Louis, and he loved jazz and playing his trumpet.
Naveen was happy just to chat and play music with Louis. But Tiana was impatient to find a way to break the spell! Louis told Tiana and Naveen that an old voodoo woman named Mama Odie might be able to help them.
101-102
Meanwhile, at the LaBouff estate, Lawrence was proposing to Charlotte. But without the real Naveen, the talisman's magic was wearing off. Luckily, Charlotte was so thrilled that she didn't notice Lawrence changing back into his true self! "We're going to have ourselves a Mardi Gras wedding!” she squealed. She was going to be a princess!
Back at the bayou, Tiana and Naveen discovered that being frogs wasn't easy! They hungrily tried to catch a firefly with their sticky tongues–and got tied up in knots instead! "Let me shine a little light in the situation," the firefly said as he untangled Tiana and Naveen. Then he kindly offered to lead them to Mama Odie.
103-104
The helpful firefly's name was Ray. As he traveled along with his new friends, he spoke of his true love, Evangeline. "She is the prettiest firefly that ever did glow." "Just do not settle down too quickly," Naveen advised Ray. Frustrated with Naveen's carefree attitude, Tiana hacked through the thick town. She just wanted to find Mama Odie and become human again. Then she could be rid of the all-play, no-work prince for good!
Suddenly–whoosh!– Naveen was caught in a net! Three hunters wanted frog legs for dinner. Ray raced to find his friend. He flew right up the nose of one of the hunters. Meanwhile, two other hunters trapped Tiana!
105-106
Working together, the two frogs quickly hopped around, causing the hunters to hit each other instead of the frogs! "Those are the smartest frogs I've seen," one hunter said as all three men lay beaten and battered at the bottom of their boat. "And we talk, too!" Tiana replied. Laughing, Tiana and Naveen watched the shocked hunters flee in fear.
107-108
After the excitement was over, Tiana started to prepare dinner. Naveen tried to help, but he didn't know how. "The day my parents cut me off, I suddenly realized I didn't know how to do anything." Tiana began to see the helpless prince in a new light. Gently, she taught him how to chop mushrooms. Soon the gumbo was ready. Ray and Louis loved what Naveen and Tiana had cooked together!
109-110
A little while later, Tinker Bell sat on the beach. "At this rate, I should get to the mainland right about, oh, never!" Tink angrily threw a pebble into the bushes and heard a CLUNK! She went to I investigate and found a beautiful porcelain box.
When her friends found her, Tinker Bell was busy putting all the gears and screws and springs back inside the box. The final touch was attaching a ballerina to the lid. Tinker Bell gave the ballerina a spin, and to her delight, the box played music! "Do you even realize what you're doing?" asked Rosetta. "Fixing stuff like this–that's what tinkering is! "Who cares about going to the mainland, anyway?" Silvermist added. But Tink still wanted to go.
111-112
So Kermit and Fozzie raced over over to Walter's house. They found his sneakers lying on the trophy room floor. Kermit grinned. Maybe this job wasn't going to be so tough after all. The only thing left to do was find the shorts. Unfortunately, something was standing in their way .... Walter's bulldog, Charles.
Finally, Kermit and Fozzie returned to the gym, sneakers and shorts in tow. They watched as Walter leaped high in the air and slam-dunked the ball in the basket. No doubt about it– Walter still had it. Clap, clap, clap. Walter turned quickly to see who was applauding. It was Tulip! "What are you doing here?" Walter asked him. "I gotta take you back. You've got baseball practice." Walter shook his head. "I can't right now. I'm helping my friends in their basketball game."
113-114
After dinner, Ray gazed up at the sky. "There she is–the sweetest firefly in all creation!" he declared. Evangeline was the Evening Star! As Louis began to play, Naveen asked Tiana to dance.
115-116
Suddenly, evil shadows sent by Dr. Facilier swept into the court. They snatched Naveen and begin to drag him away. TianaLouis, and Ray tried to stop them, but the shadows were too strong!
FOOOOOM! Blinding flashes of light vaporized the wicked shadows one by one. Naveen was saved–but by whom? "Not bad for a hundred-and-ninety-seven-year-old blind lady," someone said. It was Mama Odie! The magical woman and her pet snake, Juju, led the travelers into her old shrimp-boat home.
117-118
"We need to be human," Tiana begged. "You want to be human, but you're blond to what you need!" Mama Odie explained. The frogs didn't understand. The old woman sighed and began to stir her gumbo. Tiana peeked into the tub and saw Charlotte becoming the Princess of Mardi Gras for the night. It was suddenly all clear: If Naveen could kiss "Princess" Charlotte before midnight, then he and Tiana would become human again!
119-120
Tink went to see the only fairy she thought might be able to help. But Vidia was not in the mood for visitors–especially Tinker Bell. "You're my last hope," pleaded Tink. "Rosetta won't even try to reach me to be a garden fairy." That gave Vidia an evil idea. She suggested that Tinker Bell capture the Sprinting Thistles to prove that she would be a good garden fairy.
121-122
Tink knew that Vidia's plan was her last chance to go to the mainland. She set to work building a corral.
"Hi-yah! Git! Git!" Tinker Bell cried as she rode out into Needlepoint Meadow atop Cheese. She used two twigs to herd some Thistles into the corral. "It's working!" Tink cried joyfully. But as she headed back to the meadow, Vidia quietly blew open the corral gate. The Thistles ran away.
123-124
Soon other Thistles popped up to join the one that had escaped. It was a stampede! The Thistles headed toward Springtime Square, trampling over the carefully organized springtime supplies. Everything was destroyed. And it was all Tinker Bell's fault.
"There isn't a garden fairy alive who can control those weeds!" Rosetta exclaimed. "This has all gone too far," declared Silvermist. Just then, Queen Clarion appeared. "By the Second Star! All the preparations for spring..." "I'm sorry," Tinker Bell whispered as she took to the sky.
125-126
A little while later, Tink went to the Pixie Dust Well. She told Terence she was leaving Pixie Anaheim. He kindly gave her a double scoop of the glittering dust. "Thanks, Terence," said TinkTerence was surprised she knew his name. "I'm just a dust-keeper," he said, "not exactly seen as the most important fairy in Pixie Anaheim." "You're probably the most important one there is!" Tink argued. "Without you, no one would have any magic! You should be proud!" "I am," Terence replied. Tink could tell that Terence knew she wasn't proud of her talent.
127-128
Tink stopped in to visit the workshop one last time. She did love to tinker–even though her contraptions never worked. Just then, she noticed that Cheese was sniffing something. It was the pile of trinkets she had found on the beach. "Lost Things...that's it!" she cried.mshe went to her worktable and started to tinker.
129-130
When game time came, Walter and the Muppet Squad, the new team was ready! "We're gonna steamroller them!" Kermit said. "Ready to take it to the rack, Jack!" Gonzo admitted. "Those MonStars will wish they'd never been born!" Rizzo added.
131-132
Unfortunately, so were the MonStars! Everyone in the arena was tense–even the referee! It was time  for the tip-off. "Ready?" the referee asked.
The referee tossed the ball in the air. Pound and Walter jumped. Walter tipped the ball to Kermit the Frog, who...just stood there! "I got it. I got it. I got it." Kermit cried as he held the ball tightly to his chest.
133-134
The MonStars charged right at Kermit! "Coming through, little boys," Nawt snarled. He grabbed the ball from Kermit. Then Blanko hammered Kermit into the court like a skinny, green nail. Almost the entire Muppet Squad froze in fear. Only Miss Piggy and Walter seemed able to move. It was up to them to guard the whole MonStar team. It wasn't an easy task. Nawt raced across the court. The mega MonStar leaped into the air and...SWISH!
The MonStars were really in a groove! They shot! They scored! They slammed the Muppets to the ground! By the end of the first half the score was: MONSTARS 64 and MUPPETS 18! The Muppet Squad made their way to the Mark Twain Riverboat. Their faces almost dragged across the floor. "Moron Mountain, here we come!" Rowlf declared.
135-136
TianaNaveenLouis, and Ray caught a ride on Mark Twain's riverboat. Along the ride, Naveen confessed to Ray that Naveen had fallen in love with Tiana!
Naveen surprised Tiana with a romantic dinner. But just as he was about to ask her to marry him, Tiana spotted something on the riverbank. "Daddy and I knew that one day that the dream will come true," she said dreamily.
137-138
Heartbroken, Naveen walked away. He realized that he could never afford to buy Tiana her restaurant–unless he married Charlotte. But before the frog could ponder this any further, Dr. Facilier's shadow minions captured him!
A little later, at the LaBouff estate, the shadows swept in with NaveenDr. Facilier quickly used the prince to restore the talisman's magic. Soon Lawrence would look just like Prince Naveen again and marry Charlotte. Just when the poor frog finally understood the wicked plot, Dr. Facilier locked him in a chest.
139-140
Meanwhile, Ray revealed to Tiana how Naveen really felt: "He's in love with you!" Tiana was overjoyed. She raced to the parade to see if Naveen had kissed Charlotte yet. Instead she saw Charlotte and the human Prince Naveen getting married! Not realizing that it was really Lawrence in disguise, Tiana was crushed. She hopped away alone, thinking she would remain hopeless–and that her dreams would never come true.
141-142
Luckily, Ray found the real Naveen and released him from the chest. Together, the two friends tired to stop Charlotte from marrying Lawrence. Just before the couple say, "I do," Naveen grabbed the talisman from the impostor's neck and tossed it to Ray. "Stay out of sight!" Dr. Facilier hissed at Lawrence, who now looked like his old self again.
In a different part of the parade, Louis was having the time of their life, playing his trumpet with a Mardi Gras band. Just then, Ray flew by, struggling with the heavy talisman. Dr. Facilier and the sinister shadows swiftly chased the tired firefly. Music would have to wait–Louis's friend needed help! The alligator jumped off the float and followed the action. Soon Ray found Tiana and gave her the talisman. She ran off with the magical charm. Furious, Dr. Facilier swatted Ray!
143-144
As the dark shadows closed in, Dr. Facilier blew a puff of magic dust to create an illusion. Tiana was human again–in her dream restaurant! "All you have to do to make this a reality is hand over that little talisman of mine," Dr. Facilier said. Suddenly, Tiana understood everything. Her father had been surrounded by love. He'd always had what he needed–and he had never forgotten what was important. She smashed the talisman.
145-146
All at once, Tiana was back in reality. And she was a frog again. With the talisman shattered and all the hope of the fortune disappear, Dr. Facilier lost his control over the shadows. Tiana watched in terror as the dark creatures surrounded the evil man. Soon all that was left of Dr. Facilier was his black top hat.
147-148
While the innocent Lawrence is arrested by the police, Tiana hopped off to find Naveen. She arrived just in time to hear Naveen agree to to marry Charlotte. "But remember," Naveen said to the Mardi Gras princess, "You must give Tiana all the money she requires for her restaurant. Because Tiana? She is my Evangeline."
"Wait!" Tiana called to Naveen. "My dream wouldn't be complete without you in it." Tears filled Charlotte's eyes. "All my life I read about true love in fairy tales," she said. "Tiana, you found it!" She turned to Naveen. "I'll kiss you, Your Highness. No marriage required!" But it was too late. The clock chimed midnight. Tiana and Naveen were still a frog, but they were together–and they had found true love.
149-150
Suddenly, Louis ran toward them, carrying Ray. The little firefly's light was flickering low. Dr. Facilier had hurt Ray badly. With tears in their eyes, Naveen and Tiana held hands. "We're staying together," they told him. "I like that very much," Ray said, smiling. "Evangeline likes that, too." And then the little bug's light went out for the first time.
151-152
That night, Queen Clarion gathered all the fairies. She explained that Spring would not arrive that year, since there wasn't time to replace what had been ruined. "Wait!" Tinker Bell cried, landing in the middle of the square. "I know how we can fix everything!" She demonstrated her paint sprayer, which she had fixed so that it worked perfectly.
Tink had also designed speedy machines to fix the things the Thistles had trampled. Vidia was furious. "Corral the Thistles...," she muttered. I should have told you to go after the hawk!" Queen Clarion overheard this. She looked sharply at Vidia. "I think your fast-flying talent is well suited to chasing down each and every one of the Thistles," the Queen said sternly. Vidia flew away. All of a sudden, she had a lot of work to do.
153-154
Back at the gym, the MonStars, on the other hand, raced back into their locker room, cheering all the way! Swackhammer was there to meet them. "Not bad for the first half," he told the MonStars, "but we gotta keep this up." "Hey, no problem," Pound said. "We stole the talent from the best players in basketball," Nawt explained. The MonStars were sure the game was in the bag. But the MonStars hadn't counted on the Muppet Squad's secret weapon... Tulip! "Shut up! I smell something." Swackhammer said. "It smells like...a spy!" "Uh...we have been playing really hard." Blanko said.
Tulip had snuck into the MonStars' locker room, hoping to find the secret to their success! And after hearing Pound and Nawt, even a numbskull like Tulip could figure out what had happened. Tulip was now the only person in the world who knew what had happened to the star players' talent! He rushed back to the Muppets' locker room to reveal the MonStars' secret! "The MonStars," Tulip wheezed. "They stole the talent from the pros!"
155-156
Now Walter knew just what to do. He had to play as though he were up against other pros. And there wasn't a professional alive who could beat WalterWalter felt really pumped. He gave his team a little pep talk. "Listen up. I didn't get dragged down here to get whipped by a bunch of ugly MonStars! We've got to fight back. We've got to get right in their faces." It was a very passionate speech. Too bad nobody heard it.
157-158
Kermit the Frog had one of her brilliant ideas. He grabbed a water bottle and filled it to the top. "Great speech and all," he complimented Walter, "but, eh, didn't you forget something? Your secret stuff?" Walter had no idea what Kermit was talking about. "You know, your secret stuff," Kermit said again. Kermit winked at WalterKermit took a big swig from the bottle. Almost instantly he turned into a muscle man.
"You wouldn't hold out on us, would you?" Rowlf asked Walter, his voice pleading. He grabbed the bottle and took a swig. "I…no…I didn't think you guys really needed it," Walter said. "I mean, you're so tough…you're competitive." "We're also fish," Lew Zealand admitted as he took a sip.
159-160
It was time for the second half of the game. The referee blew his whistle and tossed the ball. The MonStars were ready to sweep the floor with the Muppet Squad. But Walter and the Muppet Squad were ready to stop them. Suddenly, from the far corner of the gym came a loud, bellowing, frightening howl.
"TIME OUT!!!!!!!!" The mighty MonStars quaked in their sneakers. The voice belonged to the person they feared most–their boss, the evil SwackhammerSwackhammer strutted onto the court and slammed Pound.  "Why didn't you get this guy?" Swackhammer asked, pointing to Walter. "Because he's a baseball player," Nawt explained. "He looks like a basketball player to me." Swackhammer said. "He's the one I want for Moron Mountain."
161-162
Walter laughed. "Hey," she called to Swackhammer. "You want a piece of me? Come and get it. How about we raise the stakes a little bit? If we win, you give the pros their talents back. If you win, you get me." Swackhammer looked at his mean, lean MonStars. Then he looked at the wimpy Muppet Squad. It was an offer he couldn't refuse! "Crush them!" he shrieked. The game resumed. And this time the MonStars would stop at nothing to win.
One by one, the MonStars destroyed the Muppet Squad. They slammed Gonzo… pounded Scooter… and trampled Animal!
163-164
All the while, Walter was scoring. But he knew he needed help. The Muppet Squad were down to four players on the court. They needed five to play. Unfortunately, all of their substitute players were injured. If they didn't find a fifth player, the Muppet Squad would have to forfeit the game. And Walter would become Moron Mountain's newest attraction!
Then, Walter spied her fifth player sitting alone on the bench. The Muppet Squad's secret weapon– Tulip! Now Walter had all the players she needed. They could start playing again. But first, Fozzie had a question. "You got any more of that secret stuff?" she asked. "I think it's starting to wear off." Walter smiled. "It didn't wear off," he said. It was just water. You guys had the special stuff inside of you all along."
165-166
The Muppet Squad lined up on the court. Walter looked at her teammates. They were a mess. A sorry mess. (All except Tulip, but had her own problems.) Still, at least there were five of them. "Just guard the big guy," Walter told Tulip. "Guard him? I'll smother him," bragged Tulip. Unfortunately, the only one who got smothered was Tulip. Luckily, just before the MonStars flattened her into a pancake, Tulip managed to shoot the ball at the hoop.
Walter watched as the ball soared through the air and went through the basket. Amazing! But not nearly as amazing as what happened next. Lew Zealand raced onto the court with a spatula. Then he scraped up the Tulip-cake and flopped her onto a stretcher. Before long, Tulip looked human again. (Well, as human as someone like Tulip could look.) "How'd he do that?" Walter asked. "Anybody could do that, Walter! Even you! This is Muppet Land!" Kermit replied.
167-168
Walter looked at the scoreboard. The MonStars were winning by one point. The Muppet Squad had a chance–if they could find a player to replace the injured Tulip. Just then, Orchid raced onto the court! "All right! "We've only got ten seconds," Walter told his teammates. "They have the ball. We go for the steal." Walter grabbed the ball and leaped into the air. The MonStars weren't going to let his Royal Highness fly! They rose up high. A sea of MonStar arms and bodies blocked Walter's way. Now if this had been a professional game, Walter would have been finished. But this was a Muppets game. And when in Muppet Land, you do as the Muppets do. Walter stretched his body like a giant cartoon rubber band. He wound herself right around the MonStars, and jammed the ball into the basket!
Buzzzz! The crowd cheered as the game ended. The Muppet Squad had won! Kermit and the Muppets would not have to go to Moron Mountain after all. But the Muppet Squad weren't the only ones who didn't want to go to Moron Mountain. The MonStars didn't want to go, either. They were sick of Swackhammer's bullying. The MonStars circled around Swackhammer. Together, they strapped him to a rocket and launched it out of the stadium...out of Muppet Land...out of Earth...out of the galaxy! Then the MonStars gave Walter back his friends' basketball powers.
169-170
The Queen turned to Tinker Bell. "Are you sure you can do this?" she asked. "I'm a tinker, and tinkers fix things," Tink replied confidently. "But I can't do it alone!" ClankBobble, and all the fairies offered to help. Soon the square was filled with piles and piles of useful objects.
171-172
Tink showed a group of fairies how to assemble a machine to make berry paint. As soon as all the pieces of the machine were put together, the berries were crushed, and dozens of buckets were filled to the brim with paint.
Next, Tink used a glove and a harmonica to make a vacuum. The fairies could use it to collect hundreds of seeds at a time. Everywhere she looked, Tinker Bell could see baskets and buckets of springtime supplies. Her plan was working!
173-174
Walter and Tulip raced over to the local gym. He found his buddies long-faced on the court. "So, I hear you guys want your games back...what little games you had to begin with," Walter teased. He held out a glowing, purple basketball. "Come on. Touch it. Put your hands on it." The guys were a little nervous, but they did as Walter said. And suddenly all was right with the world. Swackhammer was floating through space. The Muppets were staying at Disneyland. Walter was joining the Muppets as a new member. Tinker Bell had finally got her chance back of going to the mainland for spring. The star players were stars again and back where they belonged–on the basketball court.
175-176
Later, in the town, it was time to bid Ray good-bye forever. All of army's friends raised their eyes skyward to gaze at the dazzling Evening Star. Next to it, there was another bright star–a star no one had ever seen before. Ray and Evangeline were together at last. The little firefly had been right all along. True love always finds a way...
177-178
Early the next morning, Queen Clarion and the ministers of the seasons flew to the square. They couldn't believe their eyes–there were more springtime supplies than they had ever seen! As the sun began to rise, the Everblossom opened, giving off a golden glow. It was time to take spring to the mainland! The fairies cheered. "You did it, Tinker Bell!" Queen Clarion exclaimed. "We all did it," Tink replied.
179-180
"Can't Tink come with us?" Silvermist asked. "It's okay," Tink protested. "My work is here." Fairy Mary gave a little whistle, and Clank and Bobble appeared with the music box. "Actually ran across this myself many seasons ago," said Fairy Mary. "Didn't have a clue how to fix it. But you did, Tinker Bell. And I'd imagine there's someone out there who's missing this. Perhaps a certain tinker fairy has a job to do after all...on the mainland."
181-182
Tink and the other fairies flew toward London. When they arrived, everything was cold and the landscape was gray. The fairies spread out across the city. A light fairy melted the frost on a tree branch. A water fairy sprinkled pixie dust on a frozen pond to thaw the ice. The animal fairies gently woke the hibernating creatures tucked inside the trees. Soon flowers bloomed and baby birds took flight. Tink was amazed by the magic her friends created.
183-184
Now it was time for Tinker Bell to make her special delivery. She sprinkled some of the extra pixie dust Terence had given her on the music box, to make it fly. As Tink passed a bedroom window, both she and the music box began to glow. Tink knew that the owner of the music box must must live there. She set the box on a windowsill and peered into the room.
Tink tapped on the glass and ducked out of sight. In a few moments, a little girl named Wendy Darling poked her head out the window. Wendy's face filled with happiness. She took a small key from a chain around her neck and turned it in a slot. The music box began to play! The fairies' work was done. It was time for them to return to Anaheim.
185-186
Not long after, Naveen and Tiana were married by Mama Odie. As Naveen kissed Tiana, the two frogs turned back into humans! "Like I told y'all, kissing a princess breaks the spell!" Mama Odie said with a laugh. "And once you became my wife," Naveen began, "that made you–" "A princess!" Tiana finished. "You just kissed yourself a princess!"
187-188
Tiana and Naveen returned to Anaheim, where they had a royal wedding. Prince Naveen's parents were proud to see their son settle down, and Eudora was thrilled that her daughter had finally found true happiness.
189
Soon there was a new restaurant in Disneyland–Tiana's Palace. It was the best place to go for good food, lively music, and fun with friends and family. Tiana had nothing more to wish for, because she had everything she'd ever wanted–and everything she needed.
