– We've updated our page on Disney Release Types with information on Disney's
Diamond Edition Blu-rays. In related news, Disney has told retailers to expect Beauty and the Beast's
Blu-ray combo first on October 5, 2010. Following a model employed a year
earlier on Snow White, Disney will issue the second 3-disc Diamond Edition (2
Blu-rays, 1 DVD) in both "Blu-ray + DVD" and "DVD +
Blu-ray" packaging. Beauty's 2-Disc DVD will street on November 23rd.

– Confirming what we told you months ago, Disney Movie Rewards has announced
that Fantasia
will make its Blu-ray debut in December, specifically on December 7th.
Walt Disney's 1940 musical masterpiece is expected to become the third Diamond
Edition release and be joined by its sequel Fantasia
2000. There is no word yet on whether Disney will delay the
anticipated standard DVD re-release as they have done to encourage combo pack
purchases of other entries in the line.

November 27, 2013 – In theaters today, Disney's 53rd animated feature Frozen loosely fashions Hans Christian Anderson's fairy tale The Snow Queen into a Broadway-style musical adventure. After a childhood accident, Anna grows up not knowing her older sister Elsa has powers. From a director of Tarzan and Surf's Up, a writer of Wreck-It Ralph, and a creator of Avenue Q and Book of Mormon, the film features the voices of Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, and Jonathan Groff.
